How to download Instagram Highlights

1. Go to the Instagram profile and open the Highlight you want
2. While viewing the Highlight story, tap the three-dot menu and copy the link
3. Paste the link into the input field above
4. Hit download and save the file

What gets downloaded

Each Highlight story is a separate file. If it's a video clip, you get an MP4. If it's a photo, you get a JPEG. The quality matches what Instagram stores — usually 720p for video and compressed JPEG for images. You download one story segment at a time.

Good to know

This tool works with public accounts only. If the profile is private, you won't be able to download their Highlights. Also, you need the direct link to a specific Highlight story — you can't paste a profile URL and download all Highlights at once.

Instagram doesn't notify users when someone views or downloads their Highlights (they can see view counts, but not through third-party tools). Still, be respectful with other people's content and don't repost without permission.

Troubleshooting

If the download fails, double-check that the link is correct and the account is public. Some older Highlights may have expired source files that Instagram no longer serves. In rare cases, try again after a minute — Instagram's servers occasionally throttle requests.
