How it handles different post types

Quality details

Photos download at up to 1080px wide (Instagram's maximum storage resolution). Videos and Reels download at 720p or 1080p depending on the original upload. The Instagram post downloader doesn't compress anything further. What Instagram has is what you get.

Carousel posts

Carousel posts can contain up to 20 items. When you paste a carousel link, the tool loads all items and displays them with individual download buttons. Each item downloads as its own file, photos as JPEG and videos as MP4. There's no option to download all 20 as a zip file, so you'll need to save them one at a time.

Public posts only

Like all our tools, this works with public accounts. If the poster has a private account and you don't follow them, the link won't resolve. There's no workaround for this. Instagram's privacy settings are server-side.
